ANNOUNCING 2012 HIGH MILEAGE TRUCK CONTEST WINNER
Gary Uhlman is the 2012 contest winner with his entry of a Ford F250 7.3 Power Stroke turbo diesel. It has over 703,000 miles on the clock, with no overhaul.
As far as future contests, each truck can only win once. All other entries currently on the High Mile Gallery are welcome to return to the next year’s contest with a new picture of the truck and an updated odometer for consideration in 2013. We welcome all entries, even if the mileage is not high enough to win. Everyone still wants to see your truck and hear your story. Just a couple lines on your usage in your neck of the woods will be interesting.
Thanks to all of you diesel nuts for your submissions. Keep ’em coming!

I ordered this F350 cab and chassis 4X4 Lariat edition 7.3 in 2001. I had
a custom built aluminum flatbed built and installed with a 2000lb auto
crane. Also a 2000 watt pro sine inverter under the back seat to run
anything from computers to margarita blinders. Under the hood I have a
Vmax rotary screw aircompressor with unbelievable air. 70cfm at 150
psi. (Not a typo). Same original motor never been worked on. A new
transmission at 475,000 and original paint and not a bit of bondo.

A truck that the company I work for has. It’s a 2004 7.3 that still runs great.

My 2002 F-series used daily for work and to commute weekly from Baltimore to North Carolina. Still on original motor. Had transmission rebuilt at 550K.

This is my 1994 Ford f-250 7.3 Turbo diesel that I’ve made into my plow truck. It has 525K miles on it. I bought the truck with 150K. It’s my daily driver in the winter to go plow in.
Hello, I visit your site at least 4 times a month to look at the wonderful, clean tucks you manage to acquire. Attached are mine and my wife’s Ford Powestroke Diesels. Mine is a 1995 OBS with 342,000 miles. It was originally a utility body service truck. After 15 years of use, the utility box was so badly rusted I removed it and replaced it with an 8' bed. It is now my daily driver and still runs like new with no major engine work having been performed. My wife’s is a 2002 with 168,629 miles also never having seen any type of major engine work. Both of these diesel trucks have been reliable vehicles and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive them anywhere. Thank you for looking.

1996 F350 powerstroke. Daily driver pulls weights 7 days a week.
501K MILES – 1995
Originally tagged for 38,000 GVW. Purchased with 464K miles. Current owners say this beast JUST WON’T DIE!

I have a relatively high-miler in my fleet right now. My '93 D350 Automatic that was owned by myself and my father since day one, just a tick over 400k.
This my 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty 7.3 Turbo Diesel PowerStroke Crew Cab
Long Bed. I looked long and hard to find a truck to meet my needs, and
this one fit the bill perfectly. Out of Texas originally then up
through Branson, Mo., she now resides in Mexico, Mo. 305’s Nitto’s on
17’s (old school look) sandwiched between Front and rear Rhino -Lined
“Ranch Hand” bumpers…
Mileage: 212,770 and going STRONG (I use it to pull my 30 ft Travel Trailer)
Scott B. (Mexico, Mo.)
It isn’t too high mileage, at a little over 216k on the OD. A little about the
truck: it’s a 1997 Ford F250, automatic, 4x4, 7.3L Powerstroke. I got it at 201k
miles 1 month after my 16 birthday. I’m 17 now and will have owned it for going
on a year now. It has been a PA truck its whole life. I love it, and it’s coming
along slowly. I’m getting it ready for some new paint. It already has some mods,
leveled, cold air intake, gauges, TS 6 pos chip, and 16x8" MT Classic II rims.
I have a lot of plans for it, looks- and performance-wise. I love this truck. It
is my first ride and I’ll always own it! Just wish it was as clean as the OBS
Fords you guys sell!

1994 Dodge Ram 2500
Driven daily, runs great.

308,000 miles on body and 120,000 miles on motor and transmission
Jacob W. (Draper, VA)
1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Sport QCSB Cummins. Bought in ’04 @ 59,000 miles, engine barely broken in. 3rd owner; 1st two hauled, towed, and took amazing care of it; as have I. Original paint, no body work. Today, thanks to a laundry-list of performance upgrades, she runs far better than day 1 off factory floor (~120mph, ~30mpg hwy, outstanding off-road/snow). I run cetane booster and lubricity performance formula in every tank. Maintain all required and my additional maintenance/service records.
Stock transmission upgraded w/ ATS components before 1st owner purchase; blew up @ 275,000 miles; and replaced w/ ATS Stage II trans (500,000 mile warranty). Stock injector pump went out shortly after; and I replaced w/ Scheid Diesel unit. At 500,000 miles, I’m upgrading to a twin-turbo & any refurbishing that she needs. Plan on keeping for 1 million miles. Always enjoy perusing your site and selection so I can funnel all potential diesel-owners your way. Please keep up the outstanding, unparalleled work.

2002 GMC 6.6L Duramax Turbo Diesel. My truck has 285K miles on it. It runs great and haven't had to do anything to it. That's why I love diesel power!
